Ari-Pekka

I met up with my buddy Ari-Pekka, who has recently announced that his figure skating career is now at it’s proud end.

So here we are at Helsinki’s own behemoth – The Hartwall Areena to shoot some casual shots to accompany an article for Taitoluistelu on AP’s new beginnings with coaching young hockey teams.

‘True Love’

Here we have Anne and Jarno on their wedding day. Rather the fanatics of TV series ‘True Blood’, they were more than willing to throw something well an truly out the traditional box during the official portraits session. My friend and follow photographer Anna Jarske and I teamed up to cover the days events. Movie Maker

Here is Peter Lindholm, Director and movie maker from Sweden. If my memory serves me correctly, this is the most rapidly completed shoot I have ever experienced. The initial location was instantly stone walled due to a very rare enforcement of private property law, not something that one encounters very much in Finland at all, so we headed out into the street and shot some very basic portraits under daylight.

Satu & Henri

Satu & Henri

Here we have a wedding portrait session from well outside of the usual boxes. Our lovely couple, Satu and Henri wished to have something that resembled the very stern, ‘prim and proper portraits’ found in the early twentieth century.
